AWS Compute Services basics [An Introduction for .NET Developers]
I have been thinking of doing videos on the cloud for a long time, and there is no better time to start it in the new year. I am planning on creating a couple of series on these videos focusing on AWS and Azure cloud services.
These videos will be focusing on high-level concepts and hands-on sessions of cloud features from a developer's point of view.
In this video, I am going to walk through the basics of AWS Compute Services. The focus will be to get up to speed with various AWS Compute services and get ready for deploying .NET Core or .NET 5.0 microservices in AWS.
Introduction: 01:30
AWS EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud): 02:05
AWS Elastic Beanstalk: 03:45
AWS Fargate: 05:32
AWS Lambda: 06:54
AWS Load Balancer: 09:25
AWS Auto Scaling: 10:18
ECS (Elastic Container Service): 12:25
ECR (Elastic Container Registry): 14:30
Pictorial depiction of the services: 15:58
All the details related to each service are available in AWS if you want to dig deeper into any of these. I have arranged the services in a way that makes it simple for .NET developers like myself to understand and comprehend.
This video is in no way for dev-ops purposes. These are focused on for developers to understand and use the AWS services in the context of .NET Core/.NET 5.0 application development.
