How to do the String and Ring Puzzle - Plus How to Make the Puzzle from Everyday Items

Well, my one should really be called the String and Washer Puzzle. It is frustratingly difficult when you first try this puzzle. But once you get the hang of this puzzle it is surprisingly simple. Please remember it is just a three step process to move a washer from one side to the other...

1. Move the washer through the loop, under the middle hole.
2. Pull the 2 strings forward from the middle hole until the other loop comes through. Push the washer through this loop and then pull the loop goes back through.
3. Move the washer through the next loop, towards the other washer.

The puzzle is made from a continuous piece of string around 1 metre long, plus 2 washers, plus a piece of plastic with 3 holes - see the end of this video for the string threading instructions.
