Convergent Evolution | Dolphins and Ichthyosaurs

Convergent Evolution is why often times in nature we see unrelated animals looking alike. In this science animation video we go over how ichthyosaurs and dolphins share so much in common despite them not being closely related. We focus on the species Stenopterygius, as new discoveries have taught scientists that these extinct reptiles have a lot more in common with modern dolphins than we previously thought. Enjoy!
