1st Prune + Air Layer on 25 Gal Sabara - Plinia Jaboticaba Brazilian Grape Tree - Was Not Successful
Trying to Air Layer a large branch off of a 25 gallon Sabara Jabuticaba and Part 1 of pruning the tree. I recently got this tree and from the looks of it, they never pruned it. So this is light pruning just so I can see the structure of the tree and to set up the marcot air layer. Forgive me for making mistakes and be sure to let me know any suggestions or advice.
UPDATE: This air layer was not successful. Ants, worms and grubs got into the peat moss and most likely ate any roots that were trying to form. I set up another air layer further up the branch to see if I can salvage the branch. (7/7/2021)
