What is the photo flame top? The guitar that started my Ibanez fandom. | Ibanez RG570GF

This particular Ibanez RG570GF is the guitar that started my interest in Ibanez guitars. It sports a beautiful flamed maple top, only it doesn't. This is so called gravure top, often called "photo flame top" or "printed top". As the nickname suggests, it's a thin piece of paper or fabric with printed the pattern, and covered with coloured finish and clear coat. It used to be pretty common way to get a cheap, and attractively looking guitar tops.
