Formal Logic: Argument History & Syllogisms

This is the first of the two video lectures associated with Chapter 12: Argumentation in "College Composition and Reading: Information and Strategies" by L. Dawn Lukas, and discusses classic logic, with a focus on syllogisms and deductive reasoning, including how to test some of the most common types of syllogisms for validity: categorical, disjunctive, and hypothetical syllogisms are discussed, and there are examples of each type for you to practice on.

You can access a PDF version of the syllogism validity chart at https://filedepot.santarosa.edu/index.php/s/t4557om1etYW7xr
