[LIVE] Parliament debates 2 motions on Singaporean jobs, livelihoods and foreign talent policy
Members of Parliament on Tuesday (Sep 14) debated two motions proposed separately by the Progress Singapore Party's Non-Constituency Members of Parliament Leong Mun Wai and Hazel Poa and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong. The motion filed by Mr Leong and Ms Poa seeks action to address "anxiety" among Singaporeans for their jobs and livelihoods "caused by the Foreign Talent Policy" and that by Mr Wong will call on the Government to secure the wellbeing and livelihoods and Singaporeans in a post-pandemic world. He will also touch on attempts to spread misinformation on free trade agreements like the Singapore-India Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA). https://cna.asia/3tCYhUG
