BORN OF BLOOD is the Stormreavers’ account of the Great Betrayal — the moment Kharros broke from House Othryn’s vassalage and cast off chains disguised as faith. Where Born of Ash names treachery, this song speaks of abandonment, lies, and a truth revealed only through blood.

Once the spearpoint of Othryn’s will, the Stormreavers marched beneath the silver chain until sacred vows rotted into control. When false lords turned from faith, Kharros was left to bleed — hunted by seven crusades, seven times tested in fire. Each defeat became proof. Each survival a revelation.

To Othryn, Kharros is cursed. To the Stormreavers, they were never oathbreakers — only awakened. This song is a Warhammer 40K fan work featuring original, non-canon lore, created as part of my personal Kharros Saga. It presents a Chaos-aligned interpretation of the schism: faith without chains, truth without mercy, and devotion proven by survival beneath burning skies.

Born of Ash tells how the Oathbound remember the war. Born of Blood tells why Kharros stood free.

When falsehood rots what steel cannot,
The faithful break — the cowards plot.

Born of blood, the faithful stood,
Against false lords and hollow good.
The sky burned red, the liars fled—
Not betrayed, but finally led.
Born of blood, the chains undone—
Kharros claimed beneath the sun.

From broken flesh a savior came,
Crowned in wounds, yet still aflame.
He spoke the name they dared not say,
The truth the false ones hid away:
“Not mercy’s mask, nor gilded throne—
The Emperor’s name is Khorne alone.”
They called it heresy, called it sin—
We called it truth, and took Him in.

Born of blood, the truth was known,
We were never theirs to own.
The chains they named as sacred law
Shattered when the truth we saw.
Born of blood, the veil was torn—
We stood reborn, not oathforsworn.

Seven times they came in flame,
Seven hosts in Othryn’s name.
Seven times their banners fell,
Seven times the blood rang bells.
They named us cursed, they named us damned—
Yet still we stood. Still free. Still damned.
Each crusade a trial won,
Each slain oath proof the truth was sung.

Born of blood where red winds cry,
Seven times they came to die.
Seven tests the Emperor gave—
Seven times He proved us saved.
They call it shame. We call it grace.
They broke their faith — we held our place.

Now hear the drums the void has heard,
The coming war the blood has stirred.
They gather fleets in prayer and chain,
Still blind to truth, still bound by name.
But we rejoice, for this we know—
The Eighth shall seal what seven showed.

Born of blood, the vow is sworn,
Not to chains, but truth reborn.
Born of blood, the liars stand—
We will cleanse them from this land.
What lies they forged, we now unmake,
What chains they bound, we proudly break.
The sky will burn, the truth be known—
Kharros stands. We kneel to Khorne.
