Once in a LIFETIME- TWICE????? Metal Detecting Swords in Virginia DIV 42

I feel like there was only one way to share Tony Stephenson’s incredible metal detecting finds for this recent Digging in Virginia an that was with its own video. I feel like it was a privilege to just be in the field a witness these incredible relics of the American Civil War come to light after 153+ years in the ground. I hope this video conveys the excitement that was felt in the field on those days.

What is Digging in Virginia (DIV)?
DIV is short for Diggin’ In Virginia. It is a fully licensed and insured Limited Liability Corporation in the state of Virginia owned and operated by John and Rose Kendrick (event organizers).
What are DIV hunts?
They are organized invitational relic hunts dedicated to the recovery and preservation of historical artifacts.
Where are DIV hunts held?
The organizers lease large parcels of land in counties that are either established long term winter camps or battlefield and skirmish sites on private property.

What cant be taken from the website is Digging In Virginia is a group event of like minded people who get the opportunity for metal detecting and fellowship. It has really become a event that I look forward to 2 times a year. I have had the chance to learn so much and meet some awesome new friends.
