Night Halt 2 - The Snowman Race in Bhutan

In October 2022 I was hired to work at Night Halt 2 during the Snowman Race, a 5 day ultramarthon through the Himalaya in the Kingdom of Bhutan. Our crew included more than 20 people and 30 pack animals and we hiked 5 days into the Lunana Valley to set up camp to support the racers. After the race I was offered a 45 minute helicopter ride back to town and a hot shower and cold beer but these guys had become my family and there was no way I was going to let them hike out of there without me. This is our story.
