Expert urges vaccination after measles confirmed in Montana

Following the announcement of a measles outbreak in Montana, health officials confirm the five cases in Gallatin County include three minors and two adults.

All five cases are currently being investigated and health officials report they are working on contact tracing and identifying other potential cases in the area.

Experts say residents who aren't vaccinated are at the highest risk of catching the virus. However, one dose of the measles vaccine reportedly provides 93% protection against the virus and two doses provides 97% protection.
