The PBS children’s show Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood was run by Fred McFeely Rogers, who was not only the producer and head writer, was also Presbyterian minister, as well as a musician and a puppeteer. Born on March 20, 1928 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania and died of stomach cancer on February 27, 2003, his show had 900 episodes and often covered hard topics like death, divorce, sibling rivalry, families getting a new baby, as well as moving and going to a new school.
