How To Breed Mealworms

When Breeding and keeping mealworms you are going to want to add a water source to the bin for the mealworms and the beetles, in my case I use carrots and potatoes because they do not mold very fast, Keep the pupae separate from the mealworms and the beetles in their own bin until the change to beetles which can take from 2 weeks to a couple months, then put the beetles in their own bin with carrots on cardboard because if you put it right on the oats they will mold. change the carrots every 3 days. switch the beetles into a new bin every 2-3 weeks and keep the old bin on a heat source and within I couple weeks the eggs will hatch into baby mealworms.

The cuttlebone is for calcium and I keep them with the mealworms that I am going to feed to my animals as gut load
ANOTHER TIP: If you keep mealworms in the fridge they will not pupate as fast or at all, if you are not going to breed them and just want them as food then you should do the fridge thing right after gut loading them, ill be making a video about how to make a nutrient rich feeder insect gut load so they are ready for your animals to eat.
