We’re hitting the swamp for Part 1 of an action-packed Crappie Fishing adventure in the Little Pee Dee River, South Carolina! This ain’t your average fishing trip—we’re deep in the backwaters, working through flooded timber, grass beds, and swamp channels in search of big slabs and aggressive crappie.

Sometimes, the fish win! We’re losing fish, missing slabs, and putting some good ones in the boat, but that’s all part of the game. In this episode, we’re jigging for crappie, talking about the gear we use, and breaking down how we locate fish in swampy conditions.

Fishing the Little Pee Dee River & Swamp Waters
The Little Pee Dee River runs through Woodbury Wildlife Management Area (WMA), a 25,668-acre public land area in Marion, Horry, and Georgetown counties. This place is a swamp fisherman’s dream, with endless cypress trees, deep channels, and hidden honey holes full of fish.

We’re using jigs, precision rod control, and swamp fishing experience to get the job done. If you love crappie fishing, jigging, and swamp adventures, you’re in the right place!
