United Boeing 777-300ER amazing views | Polar route Tokyo Narita - Newark Liberty International

Trip report about my flight from Tokyo Narita Airport NRT to Newark Liberty International Airport EWR in New Jersey. We'll fly a Polar Route close to the Arctic Circle.Flight time is 12 hours and 3 minutes.
This is N2134U, a Boeing 777-300ER delivered in 2017 to United. This aircraft is powered by 2 GE90-115B engines
I always look for the plane regs at airfleets.net. Although I couldn't find this plane there, the closest ones were N2135U and N2534U, both Boeing 777-300ERs delivered in 2017.
In March 2020, out of a fleet of 788 aircraft, United has 21 Boeing 777-300ER and 74 777-200ER.
This plane is 10m longer than the 777-200.
My seat was 41L
Tokyo is 14 hours ahead of New York. That means that after departing at 6 pm and flying 12 hours eastbound, we'll arrive at 4 pm the same day, i.e. 2 hours earlier.

This aircraft has air vents. The Turkish Airlines' Boeing 777-300s that I fly quite often don't have them.

Long takeoff roll. The plane was nearly 100% full, at least in economy class
I didn't have enough time to leave the airport, but I wish I could come soon again to visit Japan
We'll fly north towards the Kamchatka Peninsula in Siberia, Alaska, Canada and will enter the US through the Northeast
I will have a stopover of 5.5 hours at EWR and after that will board a nearly 9-hour flight to São Paulo, Brazil, my final destination (37.5 hours from PVG to GRU)

Flying towards the Bering Strait between Alaska and Russia. On my outbound flight we did the crossing during daylight. Click on the link to watch the video.
We are over Alaska now. Had I chosen a window on the other side, I could have had the chance to see the aurora borealis (northern lights), but that day there was no aurora (luckily...)
Anyway, this part of Alaska looks amazing

It's important to stretch your legs during long haul flights
Newark Liberty International Airport is located southwest of Manhattan.
At the time of arrival, I will have traveled for 20 hours. Although I had 5.5 hours in total at EWR, which is not a lot, I decided not to leave the airport.
I'm sorry to say this, but it's been clearly one of the worst airport terminals I've ever been to
I found it outdated, dirty and there were no places to rest. I couldn't access the lounges with my AMEX Platinum or Priority Pass cards, so I had to wait at the terminal.
It would have been great to take a shower after 25 hours traveling (29 since I left the hotel in Shanghai)
This plane has a wingspan of 64.5m. The Boeing 777X has a wingspan of 71.75m with the extended wingtips. I can't wait to fly on one once it enters commercial service.
