Welcome back to Patrick Hebert Disabled Investor! [00:00] It was beautiful patio weather today here in Barrie, so I spent the majority of my time outside relaxing [00:21]. But even on a chill day, my Canadian Disability Investment Portfolio put in the work! Today, I managed to gain $4,200 CAD, outperforming the NASDAQ, S&P 500, and TSX [04:35].
I did make a few moves while I was at it. I decided to exit my disappointing Bitcoin position and started building a position in MaxQ (Maritime Launch Services) [00:53]. I added 50 shares to my TFSA and sold off some of my Treasury ETF to fund the purchase of 500 shares inside my Canadian Disability Investment Portfolio [01:53]. My long-term goal is to hold 1,000 shares to further support my focus on the tech, quantum computing, and space sectors.
I also kept my "Wash, Rinse, Repeat" covered call strategy going by selling a $390 call for Alphabet ($GOOG) and a $140 call for AST SpaceMobile ($ASTS) [02:23]. I went a bit further out of the money this time with a 7 delta. Speaking of growers, Alphabet, AST SpaceMobile, Apple, Rocket Lab, and my Reddit LEAPS really pulled their weight today and pushed the portfolio forward [03:02]. On the flip side, my Intel LEAPS, SmartCentres REIT (SRU), and CBIL dragged a bit [03:29], but it wasn't enough to stop the overall momentum.
