Lincoln Park Zoo Lion Cubs 🦁 featuring 1 year-old cub Lomelok’s Return 4/25/2024 Chicago

This video focuses on the return of 1 year-old cub Lomelok to the Lincoln Park Zoo African Lion outdoor habitat. He had surgery March 5 for a spinal birth defect. He was kept inside under observation and rehab until April 23. Filmed April 25, 10am - 3pm, all clips sequential.

The zoo is segregating the adults from the cubs because of friction between Jabari and Pilipil. Everyone knew that would happen. The zoo has left the blinds open on both side of the meeting room that separates the east and west side of the habitat. Zari and the cubs have been looking thru those large windows at each other. In my video Zari is on the rock staring thru the window at her cubs on the other side, the cubs can be seen on the ramp staring back 3:38 - 3:48
