The idea
18 voices from around the country come together to narrate 1 story over 9 days, virtually.
Stories are powerful, and in times of crisis, some stories can bring us together in the face of adversity. Kabuliwallah, the timeless tale by Rabindranath Tagore is one such story. Kabuliwallah is a celebration of an unlikely friendship, of outsiders finding a sense of belonging and the ultimate truth that binds all of us together. We felt, there was no better time like now to share this story with you … in the voices of Indians all over the nation.
Join us for a one-of-a-kind Readathon, where celebrities and Indians from across the country, gender and age come together to show that while we might be in self-isolating, we are not alone. Read along, stay safe and stay sane with the power of stories.
How it works
We have divided the story into 18 short parts. Everyday, a celebrity kicks off a section of the story in the form of a video and shares an extract that you must read and share with us as well.
At the end of 9 days, we release a single stitched video of the entire story where celebrities and participants from all over India come together to tell this epic story.
How can I take part?
Everyday we will do a call out for a new part to be read. You can submit a video of your reading of the story by emailing us at contact@juggernaut.in.
Submissions guidelines
Ensure you are reading the extract we share on our blog and our social media only
Make sure the audio and video quality of the recording is great. Minimise ambient noise, keep the camera steady and record in natural light.
Send in your recording with this subject line: “One story one nation readathon Part x” with the relevant part that you have recorded, mentioned in the extract.
You can also share your video on our social media. Don’t forget to tag us and use #Readathon in your copy
Film the video in landscape mode, not portrait
Don't forget to mention your full name, location, age and where you are from as part of the video
