Candilejas ( Limelight ) is a 1952 film with script, production, direction and acting by Charles Chaplin.
The film's soundtrack, composed by Chaplin himself and arranged by Ray Rasch and Larry Russell , is considered among the best scores in film history. In 1973, twenty-one years later, Chaplin received his only competitive Oscar for this masterful melody, at 83 years of age.
