Follow the steps below to install and run the Illustrator script correctly.

Windows

Download the .jsx script file(s).

Copy the file(s) to the following directory:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator [Version]\Presets\en_US\Scripts\

Restart Adobe Illustrator.

Access the script from

File → Scripts

macOS

Download the .jsx script file(s).

Copy the file(s) to the following directory:

/Applications/Adobe Illustrator [Version]/Presets/en_US/Scripts/

Restart Adobe Illustrator.

Access the script from:
File → Scripts

Troubleshooting

If the script does not appear or run correctly, check the following:

Restart Illustrator
Illustrator only loads scripts at launch. Restarting is required after installation.

Correct Version Folder
Ensure the script is placed inside the folder for the specific Illustrator version you are using.

Administrator Permissions
On both Windows and macOS, system folders may require admin access. If copying fails, try:

Running your file manager as Administrator (Windows)

Authenticating with your system password (macOS)

File Extension
Confirm the file extension is .jsx and not renamed accidentally (e.g., .txt.jsx).
