A popular bike in 2010, the fixed gear bike was used by most cyclists during that time. Plenty of those riders formed cycling groups and even hosted several competitions. The fixed gear bike was also considered a mainstream until its decline in the following years.
Commuting is hard and time-consuming even though there are plenty of modes of transportation, and because of the heavy traffic in Metro Manila, it is hard to get a ride especially during rush hour. The fixed gear bike is a bicycle without a gear making it a popular choice for messengers slipping past heavy traffic, and because of this, it is also a good choice as an alternative in commuting to work with its sleek designs and fast-paced riding while also giving plenty of health benefits.
A bike for the city life. A bicycle, which becomes best when used in an urbanized city like Quezon City or Manila. This is the return of the fixed gear bike as a choice for the riders, its usefulness during commutes, and also for the reappearance of these cycling events. The documentary aims to promote to those who are interested in riding a bike as a change of pace from their lifestyle. This here is a quality bike that is best used when commuting—which also gives plenty of health benefits.
