Agriculture Minister assures farmers; Congress brings a different narrative | The Newshour Debate

On The Newshour Debate with Pranesh Kumar Roy, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, in Rajya Sabha pointed out there that has been no provision in the centre’s farm laws, Bhartiya Janata Party has charged that it is Congress’ hypocrisy on contract farming. ‘The desperation and duplicity of Modi government have been exposed now. Every time it has to seek the alibi and hide behind Congress to defend its oppressive and exploitative farm laws’, stated Ashutosh Mishra, Journalist.
Political Analyst Shehzad Poonawalla points out that ‘Today, these farmers have been protesting for past 70 days (over Central farm laws). Why has Congress or Akali Dal made a word about contract farming law in Punjab which jails you’.
