The Evolution of Water on Mars
Planetary scientist Dr. Stephen Clifford of the Lunar and Planetary Institute discusses the evolution of water on Mars. He describes evidence of large catastrophic floods and evidence of sustained, standing water on the Red Planet. This was the fifth presentation in the Lunar and Planetary Institute’s 2016–2017 Cosmic Exploration Speaker Series, “Mercury to Mars: LPI Explores the Solar System.”
