LOSE VS. LOOSE | Learn Their Difference Today!

LOSE and LOOSE are two completely distinct words, with different meanings and pronunciations. Yet, they are two COMMONLY misused words.

LOSE has the following meanings:
Fail to keep;
fail to win/make money;:
to misplace.

Example: I think they will LOSE the match.

Whereas, LOOSE is an adjective which means:
Not tightly fixed in place;
not dense;
free from constraint.  

Example: These pants are too LOOSE!
