#17 Saving chestnut roof beams to make window lintels - Old stone house renovation in Italy
We saved 2 chesnut beams from the old roof structure to make almost a dozen headers/lintels. Cutting to lenght, sanding, treating the wood and finally placing it above a window: watch the full process!
We bought this house in Italy during the pandemic in 2020. We started the long of process designing and submitting a project to the authorities, clearing the land and renovating the house.
