1000 Week Troop Rally at Monument Terrace Lynchburg, Va.

Lynchburg, Virginia- 1000 weeks ago this past Friday The Monument Terrace Troop Rally was born. This group of Veterans started meeting just weeks after 9/11 at Monument Terrace at the base of the steps and the site of the "Doughboy" statue which was placed there in remembrance of the 43 soldiers lost in WWI. They have met every week displaying branch military flags in support for our soldiers in service abroad. They show their support by displaying flags, waiving at passing motorist on Church St. and remembering the fallen along with singing our national anthem weekly. This is the only group around this country that does what they are doing and have done it this long, thanks to the dedication of a group of vets that wanted our troops to know that We Support You!
