The End, Mexico to Canada - Pacific Crest Trail ep.16

4 years ago when I first attempted this thru hike, I broke my foot. Beyond that I have dreamt of the Pacific Crest Trail for 7 years. It is afterall one of the most premier long distance hiking trails in the world. Taking you through endless beauty for 2,650 miles all the way up the west coast.

This year I was ready to finally give this hike another go. I wanted to see how far I have come and how much I have learned in all the years and miles since. I worked hard the year prior and over the winter to prepare, and I set out to hike the 2,653 mile PCT in under 90 days. A near 30 mile per day average for the entire hike.

This hike came with it's hardships of course. A very aggressive pace, early mornings, and late evenings. Trying to ride the line between comfort and injured. I crossed that line once or twice. Once in a bad way towards the very end. Still this hike for me was to in some way see what I've learned and how far I may have come. To get back up and try again.

I did it. 84 days and 2,653 miles. May 10th to Aug 1st. From Mexico to Canada.

Thank you to those I met along the way, the angels, the thru's, the locals, the trail crews. Thank you to those who hiked with me for a while, Kevin, Sprocket, Gasket, Mooch, and everyone else that I ever spoke to or walked alongside. Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt.
