Erling Kagge: Why make life more difficult?
Erling Kagge is a Norwegian polar explorer. Kagge was the first in history to reach the ‘three poles’ on foot– North, South and the summit of Everest. In 1993 he became the first person ever to walk alone to the South Pole. Kagge has written eight books on exploration, philosophy, art collecting and silence. His books have been published in 39 languages. Based in Norway, Erling searches for moments of peace amongst three noisy daughters and works as a writer and publisher. He is also an avid art collector.
