It features historical reenactors, veterans from World War II to present day. There are active-duty service members and more than 40 marching bands from across the country. Tim Holbert, president of the American Veterans Center which hosts the parade, says the true heart of the event comes from the attendees, who gather in droves to celebrate veterans and honor the fallen.
