how to sew a faux fur tail- detailed step-by-step
DIY faux fur tail tutorial for a simple and easy addition to your costume :)
materials and tools:
faux fur (20x5 inches, or 50x13 cm)
scissors
sewing pins
needle
thread
comb
For turning: I used a honing steel to turn the tail inside out, but you could also use the handle of a wooden spoon or spatula, a butter knife, or anything like that
This tail pins on with safety pins, which are very easy to hide behind the fur; if you want to add a loop instead, just tuck a loop of cording or shoelace into the top of the tail before stitching it closed, pinning it into place while you sew.
Faux fur used in this video is 2-inch shag.
