Valera had been working as a tractor driver since he was 15 years old. He was proud of himself and his work. People in the village simply couldn’t do without him in the winter or summer. He didn’t just drive his tractor well but he was also good at mechanics. He could fix any old vehicle and other things too: anything on wheels, a radio, a TV, and even a toaster – Valera could fix anything.
