Reducing our carbon footprint by listening to nature | Michelle Oyen | TEDxCambridgeUniversity
Nature is all around us and giving us advice, but why are we not listening? We need to re-think building materials for the 21st century using biomimetics. Michelle is a Fellow in Engineering at Homerton College, has been a Reader in Bioengineering in the Mechanics and Materials Division and the Bioengineering research group in the CU Engineering Department since 2006. She is interested in the use of nature-inspired materials in reducing our carbon footprint from building materials. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
