Junk Journal Base Tutorial ; Grungy Tattered Flip Flop Journal ; Putting Cardboard to Good Use !
In this video I will show you how to make the base of this journal and I will give a quick overview of how I chose to embellish it.
You will need:
5 pieces of 6" x 6" corrugated cardboard or chipboard
Papers to cover the cardboard base
Ribbon, sari silk, strips of fabric, or seam binding for the hinges and tie closure
Embellishments such as flowers, fabric scraps, cheesecloth, ephemera
Glue
Distress Ink
The gaps for the hinges were: 1 1/4" ; 1" ; 3/4" ; 1/2"
