At this moment in history, we are living through a period of great chaos and uncertainty. How can we best deal with the fear that seems to surround so much of daily life?
While reasonable levels of fear can be protective, extreme fears tend to create maladaptive solutions and impulsive reactions like avoidance, anger or addiction. Dr Dina Glouberman, global expert on Imagework, has carried out in-depth interviews and worked with more than 50 people who have all experienced extreme fears for the future. What she has discovered is that our fears are not so much about the events we fear nor are they really about the future. They are about our pictures of ourselves in the feared future, pictures that often originate from the past.
But what the imagination has created, the imagination can transform. Dr Glouberman has created a simple Imagework method to help us do this. In this fast-moving, helpful online event, you will have the opportunity to reimagine your future so that you have a sense that whatever happens, you will be okay. As you do this, you will also learn how you can help people around you - whether family, friends or clients - to overcome their fears of the future.
