Dadar Terminus - Puducherry Chalukya Express is an express train of the Indian Railways connecting Puducherry in Puducherry and Dadar Terminus of Maharashtra. It is currently being operated with 11005 / 11006 train numbers on daily basis.
This train gets its name from the Chalukya Dynasty that ruled the Karnataka region. Earlier, this train runs up to Yeshwantpur with six days with the No. 11017/11018. It Was Extended up to Pondicherry and Tirunelveli with tri weekly days. Another train, Dadar Central - Tirunelveli Chalukya Express as train no. 11021/11022.
The train is hauled by Krishnarajapuram based WDP-4 locomotive from Dadar to Yesvantpur after which Royapuram or Erode based WAP-4 haul the train for the remainder of its journey until Puducherry.
11005 - Leaves Dadar at 21:30 Hrs IST on Sunday, Monday, Friday and reach Puducherry railway station on Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday at Morning 7:17 AM IST.

Puducherry railway station (station code: PDY) is a terminal railway station serving the city of Pondicherry.
The station is operated by the Southern Railway zone of the Indian Railways and comes under the Tiruchirapalli railway division. This Division may be the only Division in the world maintaining the Railways developed by both the British and the French empires.
It has daily trains connecting the city with Chennai apart from non-daily trains towards prime cities including Mangaluru, Tiruchirapalli, Bengaluru, Kolkata, New Delhi, Bhubaneshwar and Mumbai via Villupuram.
The Puducherry railway station is located on Subbiah Salai and is very close to several tourist spots and important locations in the city. There are 3 platforms in the station for passenger traffic and one for the now defunct goods service.

Dadar railway station handles a total of 88 long-distance trains. In which 12 trains are on the Western line side in which 3 long-distance trains originate and terminate at Midtown Terminus and 9 long-distance trains halt at the fast suburban route of Western line.
Whereas, 76 trains are on the Central line side in which 11 long-distance trains originate and terminate at Central Terminus and 65 long-distance trains halt at the fast suburban route of Central line.
Dadar railway station was inaugurated in the year 1868.
