Fellow Spotlight: Hakim Abderrezak
Hakim Abderrezak is an associate professor of French and Francophone studies at the University of Minnesota. At the American Academy, he is working on his book project, "Burning the Sea: Clandestine Crossings in the Mediterranean Seametery," that focuses on the lived experience of sea crossings and its expression in language.
