Kiel Kraft Chief Vintage RC Glider - Flights from a 50m Hi-Start - 21st September 2021

The conditions were almost perfect for my 1968 built Chief, that I restored and converted to RC in 2020. Lovely calm day, but the breeze changed direction from SE where I was enjoying thermal activity with my Great Planes Fling, to W where there was no thermal activity evident. By the time I came to launching the Chief, I had to do so in the opposite direction. It would have been nice to catch a thermal, but even without, the Chief had a very slow decent.
