These lakes are situated in the province of Hainaut. We stayed in the municipality of Froidchapelle in the Golden Lakes Village.

The 'Lac de l'Eau d'Heure' is a complex of 5 artificial lakes. The primary river feeding these lakes is the Eau d'Heure.

The largest lake, the Lac de la Plate Taille, is itself the largest single lake in Belgium.

It is the place to be for hiking, biking and watersports.
