She first appeared on a big screen in 2010, when she was featured in TV series Shake It Up. After this, her professional career started developing very quickly and so, she was offered to take part in many hit movies.

Zendaya’s father Kazembe is of an African descent. He had been working as a teacher for many years. However, when a daughter became popular, he turned into her manager. Kazembe had been married to Zendaya’s mom since 2008 and till 2016.

The mother’s name is Claire and she works as a manager in a theatre as well as a teacher in a school. Furthermore, she is an owner of a jewelry company and Zendaya is lucky to wear mother’s pieces of art. According to the movie star, it was her mom, who inspired her to pursue acting career and it worked.

The family also includes a maternal grandma named Daphne and paternal grandma, whose named is not known.

From the father’s side, there are quite a few half-siblings. Kaylee is a half-sister to the artist. They are very close and as Zendaya once noticed, Kaylee played a great role in her life and has always been a role model for her.

Julien is a half-brother to a famed actress. Unfortunately, there is no information about his either personal or professional life. It is only known that he is married and has three kids.

The second half-sister is named Katianna. She is not a public person and so, we only know that she lives in LA.
