Compiled Trajectory Replay — how PreAct makes agents 8.5–13× faster #Shorts

Compiled trajectory replay lets a computer-using AI agent reuse a task it has already solved, instead of asking the model what to click at every step.

The PreAct paper compiles a successful run into a lightweight state-machine program — check the screen, then click — and replays it with no per-step model call. That is 8.5–13× faster on repeats and 1.75–2.6 more completed tasks per benchmark across mobile, desktop, and web, with a fallback to the model when the screen no longer matches.
