Hello, Airbus Cockpit Coach here. In this video we fly an A320 ILS approach, disconnect the autopilot off 1000ft, and hand-fly the rest manually/visually. You’ll see my eye movements live using Tobii eye tracker preview mode, so you can copy the same Airbus landing technique step by step.

We break down the “ILS triangle” scan localiser, glideslope, and speed then show the visual approach transition: centreline and aiming point management, stable approach cues, and the key flare technique of looking to the far end to judge height and sink. If you struggle with float, firm touchdowns, or chasing deviations, this will help you build a calm, repeatable landing sight picture.

This is the exact type of pilot landing scan I train in the real world. It takes practice to remove fixation, but once you adopt the correct scan your landings become far more consistent whether you fly MSFS 2024 or MSFS 2020, and especially in the Fenix A320.
