Media ‘protection racket’ defends Biden’s litany of failures

Sky News host Rita Panahi says after less than four months in the White House President Joe Biden’s dismantling of Trump-era policies has been followed by a “monumental disaster” in terms of jobs and inflation.

The United States was expecting one million new jobs to be added to the economy in the last jobs report, but the real figure only reached 260,000 with the unemployment rate rising in April.

Inflation has also increased with America recording its biggest jump since 2008 triggering fears interest rates could be forced up during the pandemic.

Ms Panahi criticised the Washington Post for acting as a “protection racket” by removing food and gas from the equation to improve inflation figures.

“Of course, the overwhelming majority of the US media continue to act as the Democrat's propaganda arm and pretend that's not a big deal,” she said.
