China wants to keep 'two systems', protect national security: Hong Kong Executive Council convenor

There have been concerns of unrest flaring in Hong Kong after China proposed a national security law banning "treason, secession, sedition and subversion". Pro-democracy activists have called for mass protests against the "erosion" of the city's autonomy. Even so, the Hong Kong government has said it will comply as soon as possible. Mr Bernard Chan, convenor of the Hong Kong Executive Council, shared his thoughts on the bill and whether it would have an impact on the city's freedom.
