Willpower test for Brooks

We thought a little willpower test would be fun. There was a famous study done in the 1970s at Stanford where they gave a group of 4 year old kids a marshmallow and used the same method we used here. This was done as a way to assess their self-discipline and willpower, or deferred gratification. They then followed these kids until they had graduated from high school; gathering data like SAT scores, GPA, ect. What they found was that the kids who waited to take the marshmallow scored on average about 200 points higher on their SAT tests, used less drugs and had less behavioral problems. So of course, we were thinking this would be a fun test to perform on Brooks! Not great timing as Brooks was feeling a little sick. It broke our hearts hearing him cry, but of course he wanted to do it again right away. It must not have bothered him that much! We were very proud of him for waiting though! Here's a link to a simple description of the study: http://www.msgen.com/downloads/Marshmallow.pdf
