On October 11th - 2013, 73-year-old Françoise Michaux was found murdered in her secluded home in Belgium. She had been hit by two bullets: one in the head, the other in her back.

Françoise had lived a life of quiet luxury in the countryside estate she shared with her husband. As the third wife of a wealthy heir, their grand manor was a peaceful retreat

Sadly her husband passed away in 2011, and this was when everything was about change… Françoise was left to live out her retirement alone.
But behind closed doors, tensions were rising. A bitter inheritance dispute fractured the family, and without realizing it, Françoise had become a target.

Françoise was shot in the forehead and instantly died, she was only found by the neighbours after they saw her dog roaming around the garden looking for help…

The killer (Gregory dumont) had staged the scene to look like a break-in, but investigators quickly uncovered the truth-this was no random crime. It was a carefully planned execution. He was one of Belgium's most wanted for 6 years. After he went on the run for the murder of Françoise. He was eventually found and jailed. It then come to light that Françoise’s daughter in law (Anne) and her husband (Edouard) had set up the murder for a sum of €17,000 all in an act of greed, over inheritance.
