Staff rush to protect babies in cots during earthquake

Surveillance video caught the moment an earthquake in Taiwan hit Taipei’s Ma Cherie maternity centre.

Taiwan is still assessing the aftermath of the quake – given a magnitude of 7.2 by the national earthquake monitoring agency, 7.4 by the US and 7.7 by Japan – which struck near Hualien.
