Adria Arjona has been cast in a key role in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman sequel, “Man of Tomorrow.” Arjona will portray Maxima, an alien character known as a powerful and initially tyrannical figure in DC Comics, later becoming a Justice League member. She was selected after a competitive audition process. The film will feature David Corenswet as Superman and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, facing off against Lars Eidinger’s Brainiac. Returning cast members include Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and several others from previous DC projects. Aaron Pierre will also appear, reprising his role as Green Lantern John Stewart from the “Lanterns” series. “Man of Tomorrow” signals Gunn’s intention to explore more obscure DC characters and a cosmic side of the universe.
