Duterte cries & "asks advice" at parents' graves before winning Philippine presidential election
Filipino presidential candidate Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte cried in front of his parent’s graves early on Tuesday, May 10, after a early count of ballots put him ahead of rival candidates. Local media reported Duterte visited the graves for “advice” before claiming victory later in the day.
The 71-year-old mayor of Davao city promised a crackdown on crime and corruption in his campaign but his comments on extrajudicial force have caused concern.
