90% of Traders lose money... So how to be in the top 10% who are profitable?

A lot of Intelligent people are in the 90% who are losing because they are not able to manage their risk and control their emotions.

Most losing traders got a problem with their trade sizing. The problem that comes with a bigger loss, is the recovery ladder. What I mean by that is, let’s say you have lost 10% of your Account, now you want to make it back, so you’ll trade bigger again, because you think you will win this time, to get back to where you were before. It’s like a cognitive dissonance that every human has, it makes you feel like you need to get back to where you once were, and it puts a lot of pressure on you, and it makes you trade bigger again, and you get into the feeling that you have to find the next opportunity quickly. You have been now forcing yourself to hold on to something that you expect to leverage you back into where you were before. That’s a big fatal spiral. You are overtrading because you’ve got to make back more to get back up. That is the recovery ladder that leads to overtrading.

If you want to become part of the 10% you have to become a master of Money Management. You got to understand Trade Sizing and Risk Reward. There are many traders who take trades that are simply not worth it in terms of Risk Reward and in terms of the probability of win rates. Many Traders struggle with putting their stops too tight. All of those things fall under the larger Money Management Cluster which is the main reason why people lose in this industry!
