Hey welcome to another episode of Escape The Rat Race Radio, my name is Christian Rodwell and this week my guest is Xavier Collins.

Xavier is the UK managing director for Turo.com, the world’s largest peer-to-peer car-sharing marketplace with over eleven million members.

Turo connects a community of local car owners with travellers looking for a vehicle for their next adventure. Guests choose from a unique selection of nearby cars, from a Mercedes-Benz or Tesla for a luxurious weekend away to a city-friendly MINI or a rugged 4x4 ….allowing hosts earn extra money which they can either offset the costs of car ownership, or any number of other things.

Xavier shot up the ranks in the gig economy, playing a pivotal role in the national growth of Deliveroo before joining Turo to lead its UK expansion.

As General manager for the south of the UK and head of UK market launches for Deliveroo, Xavier built the business from a team of just two, doing less than 100 orders a day, to a team of 20 doing over 10k orders a day - in only two years. He also went on to run Deliveroo’s latest vertical - Deliveroo for Business, signing up major clients such as Facebook, Google and banks like Credit Suisse - playing a significant role in Deliveroo turning into the £2 billion success story it is today.

In today’s episode, Xavier talks us through how simple it is to use Turo to begin generating a monthly income from the cars that you own. Without the need to find your own customers, or do any of the marketing - you can simply leverage the platform and begin making money within a matter of days.
